When we carry out detached work in school we spend time going
around the school play ground and corridors getting to know the
young people as they enjoy their lunch break. Normally we carry  
out detached work before we begin a new group as a way of  
promotion. However other times we use questionnaires as we do
detached work so that we can have purposeful conversation on
