What is a Christingle?
Here are videos for Key stage 1 and Key Stage 2, explaining what a Christingle is and how to make one. Please remember the 8 Golden Rules when making your own Christingle.
-
Wash your hands before handling the fruit and sweets (dried fruit), and keep to Government guidelines.
-
Make sure you have an adult's permission to light your candle.
-
Make sure long hair is tied back (Keep hand sanitiser away from lit candles).
-
Make sure you have an adult around when using cocktail sticks and candles.
-
Keep loose fabrics (eg scarves) away from lit candles.
-
Don't move around with a lit Christingle.
-
Always place your Christingle where you can see it and make sure it can't fall over.
-
Never leave a lit Christingle unattended.
